Huron Hospice will be part of a number of big fundraising efforts this fall.
September 1 and 2, the West Coast Blues – BluesFest in Goderich is supporting Huron Hospice this year. Tickets can be found here: www.facebook.com/westcoastbluesgoderich.
On September 21 and 22, Huron Hospice will host a two-day workshop helping people understand the principles of feng shui in the home, garden and workplace. It will be led by feng shui instructor Helen Varekamp. The hospice will receive proceeds from the workshop. You can register here: www.huronhospice.ca/2023-feng-shui-workshop.
Finally, the now annual No Place Like Home concert will be held September 23 live from the Kingsbridge Centre. The Artistic Director of the Blyth Festival, Gil Garratt and Member of Parliament, Ben Lobb will join Huron County Coordinator of Tourism and Local Food, Alecia Anderson as celebrity emcees.
Set to perform are headliners: Amanda McClure and Tom Burke from Seaforth; Josh Geddis, Steve Dawe and Jess Langan from Bayfield and Clinton; and Clinton's own Grant McMillan.
The event was originally held as a fundraising alternative during the pandemic, but ws so successful it now runs annually.
“We thought it would be nne night only! However, the event was so successful and so much fun that we just had to do it again and again and again," said Christopher Walker, Huron Hospice, Manager of Fund Development. "The event allows us to celebrate the best of our home, Huron County.”
