The campaign to raise money for a CT scanner for the Wingham and District Hospital is now more than half way to its goal, thanks to a six figure donation from Royal Homes.
The company has donated $150,000 to the Caring Together campaign.
"Owners Doug Kuyvenhoven, Klaas Jorritsma and Pieter Venema feel strongly that local businesses and individuals have a vital role to play in securing the future of local healthcare," a media release from the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation said. "It is their hope that Royal Homes’ $150,000 donation will set an example for others to also commit their donations to the Caring Together campaign."
The campaign, which seeks to raise $2.5 million to bring a brand-new CT Scanner to the digital imaging department of the Wingham and District Hospital, has now surpassed 50 per cent of its goal.
Campaign chair Mark Foxton thanked Royal Homes for its donation.
“Royal Homes is a wonderful community-focused business and we are fortunate they are joining us in building a community that cares for one another," he said.
