Strong northwesterly winds and heavy snowfall are expected for the area, starting Thursday morning.
Environment Canada warned Wednesday night that anyone considering non-essential travel on Thursday should consider postponing their plans.
"Snow is forecast to begin Thursday morning," the weather agency said. "The snow, at times heavy, will continue through the day before tapering to lake effect flurries Thursday evening."
Residents in Grey-Bruce should expect between 10 and 15 centimetres of snow. Wind gusts up to 80 kilometres per hour are also expected to last throughout the day and into Thursday night, before easing on Friday morning.
In Huron-Perth, 5 to 10 centimetres of snow and 70 km/h wind gusts have been forecast.
On top of dangerous driving conditions, Environment Canada is warning that the high winds could cause broken tree branches or local power outages.
