Bruce Power’s Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice-President will host a virtual community information session on the proposed Bruce C Project in Kincardine.
James Scongack said the meeting is open to everyone to discuss the option to build up to 4,800 megawatts of new nuclear capacity at the Bruce Power site, which is located in the Municipality of Kincardine within the Territory of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation.
“I look forward to this opportunity to engage with our community members to share the latest information regarding the Bruce C Project,” Scongack said. “Bruce Power is committed to ensuring interested parties remain informed and engaged throughout the process and I look forward to answering your questions during the livestream event.”
Scongack added that Bruce Power is preparing to have its proposed Bruce C Project undergo a federal Impact Assessment as part of the Powering Ontario’s Growth Plan.
Bruce Power’s Life-Extension Program and Major Component Replacement projects will extend the operation of its eight units which will produce power and medical isotopes through 2064 and beyond.
