Wildfire smoke is pouring in across midwestern Ontario.
According to Environment Canada, smoke from fires burning in Northern Ontario is blowing into places like Owen Sound, Saugeen Shores, Hanover, Wingham, Goderich, Stratford, and Listowel.
This has forced the weather agency to issue special air quality statements for the area.
The smoke may persist through the day and possibly into Tuesday for some areas.
Environment Canada is urging people to limit their time outside when there's smoke.
"You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough," the national weather agency warned. "More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough."
People more likely to be affected by the air pollution include seniors, pregnant women, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and those who work outdoors.
