A GoFundMe campaign to help support the family of a man killed in a Mount Forest collision over the weekend has raised over $10,000.
Paul Droog, 53, passed away on Saturday evening as a result of a single vehicle collision.
The GoFundMe for his family was launched by his sister-in-law, Kristina Gowan-Swartz.
According to Gowan-Swartz, Paul was the sole provider for the household. His wife is unable to work due to health complications and three of his five children are still fully dependent on him.
"Paul was the kind of person that would put you first before himself. He always made sure his family was provided for, bills were paid, and he worked damn hard to make sure those kids had everything," Gowan-Swartz wrote. "He wasn’t just our brother he was our friend and now it’s our turn help his family push through this tragic loss and make things a little easier and worry free for a short time while they grieve."
The family is also asking that people share stories of Droog, along with offering financial support to help navigate this difficult time.
