Bruce County announced on Friday the launch of a Starter Company Plus program.
According to the county, the program is designed to help aspiring local entrepreneurs start, expand or purchase a business. The program includes extensive training alongside grants of up to $5,000 to help potential entrepreneurs get started on the right foot.
Participants on the program will receive training in key areas like business planning, marketing, financial management and operations. The program will also connect participants with experienced mentors and fellow entrepreneurs.
Anyone interested in the program must attend one of the following virtual information sessions:
September 14 from 6-7 p.m.
September 18 from 12-1 p.m.
September 23 from 6-7 p.m.
September 26 from 2-3 p.m.
Participants will then go on to complete the program's mandatory training components before becoming eligible to apply for grant funding.
The program is being offered through Business to Bruce in partnership with the Province of Ontario.
