Spits Lose, Jerseys Retired

The Spitfires couldn't figure out Sting goaltender Taylor Dupuis as Windsor fell to Sarnia 6-3 Sunday.

Dupuis faced 44 shots from the Spits in the win. Windsor goalie Brendan Johnston was pulled in the second period after allowing three goals on 15 shots.

This on the night the team retired both Steve Ott and Adam Henrique's number 14.

Spitfires General Manager Warren Rychel hopes the ceremony will maintain the team's network of former players."I think the fans like to see this stuff too. We're trying to build the alumni with summer [programming] and I think this is about recognizing three great players who wore number 14, of course with Ed Jovanovski in there."

Up next for the Spits is a tilt with the London Knights in Windsor on Thursday.
