A local mold company is reaching new heights as it gears up to expand in Windsor and in space. Service Mold and Aerospace has created mold parts for NASA's simulation to Mars. The company also does work for passenger jets and military helicopters. The company plans to invest about $10-million to expand its facility at 2711 St. Etienne Blvd. Currently they employ 56 people and hope to hire at least 12 more. Company president Martin Schuurman was so excited about his contract with NASA he rented out an entire theatre and took his staff to see 'The Martian.' Service Mold and Aerospace has clients across the U.S. and China. They supply molds and machining to various sectors including automotive, aerospace and medical.
