UPDATE: Road reopens after fatal crash

A 19-year-old Windsor man has died following an early morning collision at the intersection of Essex County Road 23 and Essex County Road 20.

The Ontario Provincial Police report that around 7:30 a.m. a Nissan was traveling southbound on County Road 23 when it was struck by a westbound Freightliner flatbed truck at the intersection of County Road 20.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital. Ethan Strickland was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The road was closed for several hours as police completed their investigation. No charges are anticipated.
