Arrests made after bowling alley shooting

The Windsor Police Service continues to search for a suspect and the weapon involved in a shooting over the weekend.

Five people suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting in the parking lot of Superbowl Lanes on Tecumseh Road East around 1 a.m. Saturday. All victims were treated and have since been released from the hospital.

"We can confirm that an altercation happened within the Superbowl, we don't know what started it at this time," said Superintendent Jason Crowley. "It spilled out into the parking lot at closing time and then we had the gunfire. I really can't say at this time what started it."

Five people have been arrested and charged in connection with the shooting.

Superintendent Jason Crowley says anyone involved has been charged with attempted murder.

Joshua Fryer, 19, and Andrew Meloche, 21, both face five counts of attempted murder, reckless discharge of a firearm, and occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm. Another young person if facing the same charges but cannot be named because of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Two other men are facing charges of accessory after the fact of attempted murder.

Police continue to search for another male suspect who will also be facing five counts of attempted murder once he is identified. He is described as a Hispanic man between 5' 2" and 5' 5" and weighing around 150 pounds. He was wearing a grey hoodie, brown coat, and a blue Los Angeles Dodgers cap at the time of the incident. Investigators say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.

The firearm has not been recovered.
