Windsor mails out final 2023 tax bills

Windsor residents should now be receiving their final 2023 tax statements.

The City's revenue and collections department reported Monday that it had mailed out all final tax bills for the year.

The due dates for regular tax payments are July 19, September 13, and November 15, 2023.

Payment must be received by the City on or before the due dates noted. Payments can be sent via telephone or online banking at an accredited bank, credit union, or trust company.

They can also be sent via mail with your mortgage payments to your financial institution or dropped in the box on the first floor of 350 City Hall Square West. Payments sent through these two methods may be made by cheque only.

The City has offered three pre-authorized payment options, on the installment date, in the middle of the month, and at the end of the month. There is also help for people having trouble with payments.

"Property owners who are having trouble keeping up with their property tax payments are encouraged to seek lower cost financing alternatives, which are available through local financial institutions," read a release from the City.

A repayment program is available for all taxpayers. The City also offers a relief program for people suffering a severe hardship like illness or extreme poverty, along with a deferral program for low-income residents or people with disabilities.

Complete information on tax relief programs can be found on the City's official website.

If you did not receive your tax bill, call 311.
