Lambton County Council voted 25-12 in favour of a $188-million budget for 2015 that calls for a 2.52 per cent net increase in the amount to be raised through taxation.
Council decided to offset over $200,000 in approved funding requests by pulling money from its Opportunities and Contingencies Fund.
Warden Bev MacDougall says that's what the reserve is for.

Enniskillen's Kevin Marriott was one of six councillors who voted against the budget. He wanted it to come in closer to this year's anticipated inflation rate.
