Some major changes are in the works at Sarnia City Hall to make it more user friendly. In February, council authorized staff to conduct an operational review of the city's Planning and Development Service to better accommodate development and improve efficiencies. Director of Planning and Building Jane Cooper says improving all IT services including the city's web site is one of their top priorities. [audio mp3="http://blackburnnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Jane-Cooper-web-page.mp3"][/audio] Cooper says a fee-based application protocol may be needed for bigger developers to help them determine if their proposal is going to "fly or not." The Draft Action Plan can be found on the city's website, www.city.sarnia.on.ca through the Development Review Focus Group page. Suggestions and comments will be accepted until September 15.
