Lambton Public Health is reminding parents to moderate their children's candy intake this Halloween.
Registered Dietitian Connie Mallette says pairing healthy snacks with a treat helps balance diets until trick-or-treat bags are empty.
She says candies aren't the only thing loaded with sugar, soft drinks also contain as much as ten teaspoons of sugar per can.

Mallette recommends also handing out healthier treat options at Halloween such as cereal or granola bars, apples, or dried fruit like raisins.
