Funding Efforts Continue for Courtright Splash Pad

Work on the new Courtright Splash Pad is completed but fundraising efforts continue. Committee spokesperson Diana Austin says they are hoping to raise another $15,000 for the splash pad and surrounding pavilion. She says children in the community can't wait to use it. "We wanted to go big or go home. Its 2,500 square feet and we wanted dump buckets and features that went from toddler, to pre-teens and family." Austin says its hoped water will be flowing at the splash pad in time for Victoria Day long weekend. She says the committee will be canvassing door-to-door in Courtright for donations on May 14.
