Organizers of the Sarnia/Port Huron International Powerboat Festival are expecting the biggest year yet.
Back for a sixth year, the festival will take over the Sarnia waterfront August 12, 13, and 14.
Monster Truck will headline Friday's concert, with I Mother Earth following up on the Saturday.
Vicky Praill with Tourism Sarnia-Lambton says they expect over $1-million in economic impact locally.
"The marna is full, our hotels get booked, people are going to our restaurants, they're spending money at our retail stores filling up their cars with gas before they leave so its a great economic impact on our community and we couldn't be happier," says Praill.
In its first year, the festival drew about 18,000 people, snf organizers are expecting 40,000 over the three days in August.
Greekfest will be held the weekend before the powerboat festival this year, after the two joined forces for last year's event.
