Carter Robertson got a goal and an assist as the Ottawa 67s dropped the Sarnia Sting 5-3 at TD Place Saturday afternoon.
The loss to the 67s keeps the Sting entrenched in third place of the West Division. It also comes off a 4-3 overtime win at Kingston Friday night.
Robertson's goal opened the scoring in the first period. Sarnia's Troy Lajeunesse evened the score at 8:33 in the first. By the time the teams went to their dressing rooms after the first period, Ottawa had taken a 2-1 lead on a goal from Artur Tyanulin.
Both teams exchanged goals in the second period, with Ottawa's Tye Felhaber scoring at 1:28 to give the Storm a 3-1 lead. Sarnia's Adam Ruzicka pulled the Sting to within one once more with a goal toward the end of the period.
Ryan McGregor's short-handed goal in the third period tied things up for Sarnia. It was his seventh goal of the season. After that, though, it was all Ottawa, with a goal at 13:20 from Sasha Chmelevski, and an empty-netter with three seconds remaining in regulation from Patrick White.
Sarnia next hosts the Saginaw Spirit on Friday night.
