A special weather statement was in effect briefly for Watford, Pinery Park and east Lambton.
Environment Canada says there was a slight risk of a landspout near Lake Huron in an area of thunderstorms moving across the regions from west to east.
A landspout, a kind of tornado not associated with the mesocyclone of a thunderstorm, could cause some very isolated local wind damage.
Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says around 9:30am Tuesday morning, they received reports from the Goderich and Bayfield areas of two storm-generated waterspouts.
"These types of tornadoes form when winds near the surface come together, start a circulation at ground level or water level in the case of waterspouts, and then that circulation continues up to the base of the storm clouds themselves," says Coulson.
He says landspouts are usually brief and result in only minor damage. The weather statement was in effect for less than an hour.
