Construction Wrapping Up At Consolidated School

Construction at Plympton-Wyoming Public School is finally nearing completion. It was originally hoped the project would have been completed in March. Lambton Kent District School Board Superintendent Gary Girardi says they've made great progress and are in good shape to welcome back students in September. "We have completed the construction on the gym. The south end of the building, in terms of the office and the updated classroom area, should be complete in the next two or three weeks," says Girardi. "We do have work to do in terms of landscaping and paving, and we'll be doing that between now and the end of the year." Students from South Plympton and Wyoming Public Schools will consolidate at the site in September. The province contributed $3.7-million towards the project and the public board provided $2-million of its own money for heating and cooling upgrades and classroom enhancements.
