Sarnia police are encouraging residents to help them cram a cruiser Saturday.
A police car will be parked inside Lambton Mall near Toys R Us from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the sixth annual event.
Constable Jordan Laird said they'll be collecting children's gifts for the Inn of the Good Shepherd's "Adopt a Family" program.
"We've never really been sticky on what we accept," said Laird. "But we have a number of requests for superhero things, Lego is big, arts and crafts, Ninja Turtles, Hot Wheels are always a hot item every year."
This year 275 families have asked for help through the Holiday Hero Cram a Cruiser event.
Lambton OPP's "Stuff a Cruiser" starts Friday and continues through the weekend.
Officers and the Lambton OPP Auxiliary Unit will be collecting food and toys for the holidays Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Heidi's Independent Grocer in Petrolia.
They'll be at Forest Foodland on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. and at Canadian Tire in Forest Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
