Lambton County farmers are praying for dry weather conditions in the next two weeks.
Lambton Federation of Agriculture Board Member Mike Belan said, to his knowledge, there haven't been any crops planted so far this spring. He said it's been a later than normal season because of the wet conditions.
"Usually, right now, we're in the last week of planting corn and soybeans in a typical year," said Belan. "We're running down to the last couple of weeks of good corn planting time. Soybeans I would guesstimate that we could go to the end of June and still have a crop to harvest."
Belan said they had a bad winter wheat harvest this year with crops having to be plowed under.
"The wheat acres, there has been a lot that has been terminated just due to lack of good conditions," he said.
