The International Symphony Orchestra (ISO) is hosting live performances on First Fridays in Sarnia's downtown.
The ISO, based out of Sarnia and Port Huron, and the 6+1 Art Group collective moved to a new arts and performance centre in June.
The site at 143 North Christina Street features a 100-seat performance centre, a bar, and art gallery window, among other things.
ISO Executive Director Anthony Wing said the group decided to launch a rebrand, new website and social media push after they learned they had to leave their previous space.
"That precipitated this plan that we would perhaps take the opportunity to launch a rebrand and to try to expand our administrative space into a full-on cultural centre."
Wing said the partnership with 6+1 is in line with their rebrand -- he said the group will display and sell their art at the new space.
"The other part of this is that there is going to be regular orchestra performances here starting in September. So it's a smaller performance space, and each performance will be on First Friday."
Wing said the ISO is shifting to online ticketing ahead of their Excelsior performance at the Imperial Theatre this October, the debut of the symphony's 62nd season.
"The people who are regular members, put together with the people who are occasional and subs, it gets over 100 people," said Wing. "We also have the Symphony Singers who perform with us twice a year and they have about 50 singers."
The International Symphony Orchestra was formed in 1957 as a result of the amalgamation of the Port Huron String Ensemble (Michigan) and the Little Orchestra Society of Sarnia.
6+1 Art Group was formed in 2000 by six women and one man who came together while participating in an art course at Lambton College. The group of visual artists has expanded to include 35 members.
