Environment Canada ended its wind warning for Sarnia-Lambton just before 10 a.m. Monday.
It was in effect for a few hours as strong wind gusts were expected to develop across the region in the early morning hours. Southwest winds at Sarnia's Chris Hadfield Airport gusted to around 60 kilometres per hour at 8 a.m. along a cold front.
Meanwhile, Bluewater Power and Hydro One crews were kept busy dealing with outages during the morning's windy weather.
Service was knocked out around 8 a.m. to over 2,000 customers in the Sherwood Village, Bright's Grove, and Churchill Line areas after a tree fell on hydro lines.
Service was fully restored just before 10 a.m.
Around 200 customers were also impacted just west of Oil Springs and another 300 customers along Lakeshore Road near the Pinery and Grand Bend area also lost service.
Power was expected to be back on by mid-afternoon.
