Sarnia-Lambton PrideFest sponsors, vendors needed

PrideFest organizers are seeking additional vendors and sponsors as the three-day event is only one month away.

Diversity Ed Executive Director Crystal Fach said they're looking for about 10 to 15 more vendors.

"We're really hoping to get some small business vendors, anyone who wants to be interactive," said Fach. "We just want anyone to come down with their amazing goods and have a good time."

Fach said they're also hoping to add sponsors to help alleviate the cost of the festival. Interested vendors and sponsors are encouraged to contact Fach before the end of June at crystal@diversityed.ca.

PrideFest will begin on Friday, July 15, at Centennial Park in Sarnia. The three-day event will feature various forms of entertainment that promote diversity and inclusivity.

"I'm very fortunate our cofounder, Adam Gariepy, has been organizing festivals for many years so it's coming along really great! We're really excited," said Fach. "Things are getting planned nicely so we're just finishing up those last minute details."

There will be two evening paid events. On July 15, an all BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Colour) cast featuring Ilona Verley from Canada's Drag Race will perform at the Suncor Agora. The following night, there will be an open stage hosted by Sarnia’s own Sheerah Mae Heartt and Poison Ivy-Lee.

Tickets are available in-person at Dog Eat Dog, Refined Fool, and the Book Keeper. Ticket details can also be found online.
