A Thanksgiving holiday tradition returns to Brigden

The final fall fair of the season is on this long holiday weekend.

Gates open at 9 a.m. Friday for the annual Brigden Fall Fair.

Spokesperson Dennis Robinson said they're excited to bring back the Thanksgiving weekend tradition.

"It's a great feeling to be able to host the fair again this year after two years of being shut down with COVID," said Robinson. "So we're looking forward to it, we've made some changes to the layout and we expect the public to enjoy what they see."

Robinson said highlights this year include the ProRider Freestyle MX Show and the traditional parade at 12 p.m. on Saturday. He said they also have a new walk-thru exhibit.

"Eleven life-sized dinosaurs will be in the Community Showcase Tent, and they vary in size from six feet to 25 feet long," he said. "There's a dino craft to do after, so we know that that's going to be a big hit with children.

The official opening ceremony is set for 11:30 a.m. Friday and the fair continues through Thanksgiving Monday.

Admission is $10. Elementary school-aged children and younger get in free. The full schedule of events is available here.
