The Sarnia Sting and Lambton College are hosting an event in support of mental health during Wednesday night's Sting game.
Lions Night @ The Sting will feature blue rally towels, prize tables and intermission games. Sting players will also wear Lions-themed blue jerseys, which will be auctioned off online to support student mental health initiatives.
College President and CEO Rob Kardas said it's a great opportunity to bring the Lambton College spirit out into the community.
“I’m looking forward to cheering on the Sting surrounded by our students, employees, partners, and fans from all over Sarnia-Lambton," said Kardas in a media release.
The first 2,000 fans will receive a custom rally towel and there will be a Chuck-a-Puck fundraiser during an intermission. The jersey auction opens at 7 p.m. Wednesday and closes Sunday at 8 p.m.
Sting President Bill Abercrombie said the organization is thankful for the continued support of community partners like Lambton College.
“Lambton College is a pillar in our community, we are very grateful to call them our neighbour and for their continued support of Sting hockey."
