Slow start to Noelle's Gift fundraiser

The organizers of Noelle's Gift to Children's Vehicle and Cash Draw are hoping for an increase in ticket sales.

Nicole Paquette said the fundraiser started in September and sales are down.

"Ticket sales are actually a little slow right now," Paquette said. "We have sold 238 [tickets] and we're going to sell out at 2,000 this year."

She said the draw, now in its fourth year, has sold out each year previously.

Paquette hopes extending the grand prize draw date will help.

"We used to do it on Noelle's birthday, December 11, but we've changed it to after Christmas because it would make a great Christmas gift for the person that has everything," she said.

Paquette said there is still time to enter the early bird draw.

"We had our first early bird draw just in October and our second one is November 17, both of them are for $500 cash," said Paquette.

The first place prize of $5,000 and grand prize 2023 Lincoln Corsair will be drawn December 29.

Tickets are $100 each and each vehicle purchased at Finch Ford Lincoln on Indian Road in Sarnia will receive a ticket right now.

You can also purchase tickets at the dealership or online at NoellesGift.ca.

Noelle’s Gift was established in 2013 in memory of Noelle Paquette, a St. Clair Catholic District School Board kindergarten teacher.

Funds raised support nutrition programs and basic needs for students in both Sarnia-Lambton and Chatham-Kent.
