"At the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, time stands still for a moment and we remember those who died not for war, but for a world that would be free and at peace," said Cummings.
Sarnia Legion Branch 62 President Ron Realesmith thanked those in attendance.
"It's truly humbling and astonishing to see so many people come out and pay their respects and offer their remembrance," said Realesmith.
Around 100 wreaths were laid by local government officials, various organizations and agencies and residents at the foot of the war memorial.
The first wreath was laid by Memorial Cross Mother Pat Poland whose son Brent was killed in Afghanistan.

"On this Remembrance Day, we’re also mindful of the ongoing conflicts around the world -- including the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.
