Film about the Township of Warwick to premier this weekend

Residents of Warwick are being invited to attend the premiere of a film based on the township.

On Saturday, The Township of Warwick: Our Journey Through Time will premiere at the Warwick Community Hall at 1:30 p.m. and the East Lambton Community Complex at 7 p.m.

According to Manager of Parks and Recreation Ryan Chamney, the events are free and light refreshments will be provided.

He said that the film was created by Paul Janes.

"It's a film that Paul Janes has worked quite hard at and has been a labour of love for him over the past couple of years," Chamney said.

According to Chamney, the film is about part of the community's history.

"The film covers the history of Warwick between 1832 and 1952," he said.

Doors for the first premiere will open at 1:00 p.m. and for the second event the doors open at 6:30 p.m.

During these events there will also be a chance to speak with Paul Janes after the film.

"We're just looking forward to having it premiere in the community and invite everyone to come out to attend," Chamney said.

Warwick Mayor Todd Case said he's looking forward to the film.

"I'm sure it will be great and they did a lot of our history book from years gone by and did a great job," he said.

The township said the event will not be live streamed and extra copies of the film will not be available.
