Organizers of this year's Block Party are encouraging people to take advantage of early bird pricing ahead of the July 26 deadline.
The Bluewater Health Foundation recently announced the line-up of this year's concert series, which will be held on Friday, September 6 and Saturday, September 7.
The event will feature Canadian funk band My Son the Hurricane and rock/reggae band Ill Scarlett on September 7. The Action Figures will be the local opener.
Friday's show will feature Windsor's The S'Aints with local openers A Million Ghosts and Down River Band.
Tickets are currently on sale for $25 per night or $45 for a weekend pass. However, those who plan ahead could buy $40 weekend passes if they're purchased before July 26.
"We think it's a fabulous, affordable way for people to come out and listen to live music," said Foundation Executive Director Kathy Alexander.
The Block Party serves as a fundraiser for Bluewater Health's mental health and addictions program. Alexander said the program covers a variety of different areas throughout the hospital and the community, including the Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario partnership and Ryan's House.
"The needs continue to be very prevalent in our community," she said. "We have great resources available for those in need of help but we need more, we need to always add to it."
Alexander said it's also a great event to raise awareness for the important work mental health and addictions teams do across Sarnia-Lambton.
The Block Party launched in 2016 as a one-day event with 500 guests and has since grown to a two-day fundraiser with the ability to host 1,200 guests per night.
Over the last eight years, the Block Party has helped raise over $160,000 for mental health and addiction services.
The Block Party is an all-ages event and will go ahead rain or shine. The two-day event will be held at the Suncor Agora at Sarnia's Centennial Park.
Gates will open at 6 p.m. each night.
Artisans, food and drink vendors, and craft brewers from across Lambton County will be at the weekend event.
Tickets can be purchased online at revelree.ca.
Alexander also highlighted the incredible work of volunteers who have been involved in the planning process and will be helping out on-site. She said nearly 100 volunteers will be at the park, many of which also work at Bluewater Health.
