Sounds of Summer to include 56 performances

The City of Sarnia is welcoming the summer season by kicking off its annual outdoor concert series at various local parks and green spaces.

Sounds of Summer will feature local and out-of-town performers every Monday to Thursday, through June, July, and August.

Communications Manager Steve Henschel said traditionally, the season kicks off with Scottish Night at the Suncor Agora.

"We have 56 performances, kicking off June 3," he said.

The performers this season will cover a full range of genres, including rock, country, folk, Celtic, pop, and classical.

All shows will start at 7 p.m.

"It's really a chance for us to showcase some of these parks across our community. There are tons of fantastic green spaces in Sarnia, so this is an opportunity to enjoy one of those while also enjoying some great music."

The opening week lineup will also include Work in Progress at Kenwick Park on June 4, JPD Review at Paul Blundy Park and Cassie Noble at Germain Park on June 5.

The final performance is scheduled for August 21, where The Wade Sisters will play blues at Germain Park.

The 2025 performance schedule can be found on the City of Sarnia's website.

"Keep an eye on our social media. If a performance is rained out, we will share it there," Henschel said. "We generally reschedule any performances that are cancelled due to inclement weather towards the end of the season."

Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
