St. Joseph's Hospice of Sarnia Lambton will celebrate its 20th annual Dancing Under the Stars Gala this year.
Tickets for the November event will officially go on sale on Monday, June 1 at 8 a.m.
Fund Development Coordinator Lesley Coene said they usually see over 800 guests.
"The week of the gala, we have over 100 volunteers help set up, and 130 volunteers help the night of," she said. "The evening starts with a dinner buffet, as well, we have a silent auction, a live auction, a wine raffle, and everybody gets to dance to a live band, which is Stiletto Fire."
Tickets can only be purchased by calling the hospice at (519) 337-0537.
"The gala is always sold out. Tickets go very quickly that morning and this year, the ticket price is $200 per person," Coene said.
Last year, tickets sold out 18 minutes after they went on sale. Those who miss out on tickets are still encouraged to add their name to the waiting list.
Director of Fund Development and Community Relations Maria Muscedere thanked community members for their continued support over the past two decades.
"Each year we have to raise $2.4 million," Muscedere said. "This night is an amazing night that supports us financially, but also brings us together as a community."
The gala will be held on November 7 in the atrium at DeGroot's Nurseries, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The local hospice provides compassionate end-of-life care to individuals and support for those affected by loss.
