A Go Fund Me campaign has been launched to help the family of a teen killed in a crash earlier this week.
An obituary from Smith Funeral Home and Family Centre, said 18-year-old Damien DeBlaere Chesney died on Tuesday, July 7.
Lambton EMS and members of the Sarnia Police Service responded to a collision on Confederation Line between Modeland Road and Blackwell Sideroad at around 11:15 p.m. Monday.
Two people were taken to hospital with significant injuries, and one was later pronounced deceased.
According to the obituary, DeBlaere Chesney leaves behind a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter.
To help the family with funeral and memorial expenses, a Go Fund Me page is asking for the support of the community during this difficult time.
Visitation for DeBlaere Chesney will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Monday, July 13 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Cremation will follow.
