Open Air Weekends is back in Amherstburg

Amherstburg will transform its downtown every weekend into a hub of activity again this year until September 6.

The fun begins this Friday at 3 p.m. with a vendor market, live music, and a traditional bagpipe parade. Guests can dine on local patios, shop local, and explore interactive activities.

This year, the event is adding themed weekends.

As part of the Carrousel of the Nations, June 12 to June 14 is a celebration of Brazilian food, music, and culture.

Pride weekend is June 26 to June 28, featuring the return of TRUE Festival on June 27.

July 31 to August 2 is Heritage Weekend, highlighting Amherstburg's history.

Cycle the Berg is August 14 to August 16, featuring a cycling-themed event in partnership with Windsor Essex Bike Committee.

August 21 to August 23 is Barrels and Brass, a weekend of unique jazz.

Every Saturday and Sunday, visitors can participate in guided historic tours. Sundays also feature learn-to-play chess sessions and yoga in the park.

The event each weekend is free.
