Statistics Canada says the price of soybeans in Ontario to end September had increased by 8.7 per cent from the year prior.
However, the average price of $460.87 a tonne had decreased by 5 and a half per cent from August.
StatsCan notes both wheat and corn prices had dipped for the month and the year.
Wheat decreased by $9.07 from August and more than 49 dollars from 2015.
Corn was down a little less than 4 dollars a tonne for the month, and a bit more than 9 dollars from last September.
