Water World Decision Sparks Optimism

Windsor Water World will remain open for at least another year, but will be under a reduced operating model.

This means it will only be open on weekdays with limited recreational programming, the OEYC and After School Program, and rentals available during reduced hours.

Coordinator of the Glengarry to Marentette Initiative Patrick Firth says it's not ideal, but it gives hope for the future.  "It really gives us the opportunity to spend this year to reach out to partners, to reach out to the neighbourhood, to have them be a part of the space, making it vibrant."

Windsor City Council expects to know for sure whether or not a new school will be built on the Water World site by this time next year.
