Windsor Police have charged the 22-year-old driver of a 2007 Infinity following a fatal crash involving a motorcycle on the EC Row Expressway.
Police say the car and motorcycle were both in the westbound curb lane near the Jefferson Blvd. overpass at 10:55pm, when it appears the car rear-ended the motorcycle, causing the victim to be thrown from the bike.
When police arrived, the 66-year-old motorcyclist was lying on the roadway without a pulse, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 22-year-old driver of the car is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and criminal negligence causing death. Police believe the suspect was driving distracted at the time of the crash, and are investigating if alcohol was a factor.
The E.C. Row was closed from the time of the incident until 3:30pm, Wednesday.
Windsor police are asking any witnesses to come forward.
