Gignac Gets PC Leader Support

Ontario Progressive Conservative Leader Patrick Brown is joining Windsor-Tecumseh Conservative candidate Jo-Anne Gignac at her campaign office tomorrow.

"I look forward to meeting with Patrick, he is a tireless advocate for Ontarians at Queen's Park," says Gignac in a news release. "His visit is another reminder of the importance Conservatives place on Windsor both at the federal and provincial levels."

Brown is stopping at Gignac's campaign headquarters for noon.

The visit by Brown caps off a week of visits by leaders of the three main provincial parties. Ontario Liberal Premier Kathleen Wynne visited the Highbury Canco plant in Leamington on Friday while Ontario NDP Leader Andrea Horwath addressed the Trans Pacific Partnership using the former Honeywell plant in Amherstburg as her backdrop.

Gignac is up against NDP candidate Cheryl Hardcastle, Liberal candidate Frank Schiller, Green Party candidate Dave Momotiuk and Marxist-Leninist candidate Laura Chesnik in the Windsor-Tecumseh riding.

Election day is October 19.
