New Technology At Seminole Library

The Seminole branch of the Windsor Public Library is the first of five branches to receive a 3D printer.

"Part of public library learning is experiencing things, whether it was the first computers that were here or e-readers. People are using them all the time. libraries had them to start with. So now it's 3D printers," says library CEO Kitty Pope.

Staff have been trained on the 3D printer which is available for use by anyone for a small fee.The printer was purchased for almost $5,000 using Councillor Ed Sleiman's ward funds.

"It will be here permanently in this location so kids can see how it works, they can explore how innovating and design work in a 3D model. We think it's a great addition to this branch," says Pope.

The branch also received a mini makeover with a fresh coat of paint and new layout.
