Not only do organizers of this year's Windsor International Film Festival calls it another big success, but they also say it broke a record.
More than 20,000 tickets were sold.
The festival expanded this year to include screenings at both the Capitol and Chrysler Theatres in downtown Windsor, and executive director Vincent Georgie's not ruling out the addition of a third theatre for next year's event.
"We're very, very committed to downtown and we want to make sure that everything is sort of walkable and people can go easily between theatres," says Georgie. "But we're always looking at ways to keep improving."
Many of this year's ticket buyers were first-time festival goers, and attendance from American visitors grew.
"A lot of the films that we show actually don't get shown in the United States at all so for them they get access to films that they would just never get to see," he says.
The 12th annual festival wrapped up on Sunday.
