Windsor's Larry Horwitz is in Orlando, Florida on vacation and getting a first-hand look at the end of a sensational election campaign in the US.
The chair of the Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association feels there's anxiety and frustration in American voters he's met.
"I had a conversation with a waitress and it was very interesting because I said, 'How did you vote?" says Horwitz. "And she said she doesn't really want to say, but she voted for Trump."
Republican Donald Trump has won the U.S. Presidential election and is the President-Elect. He won 288 electoral college votes to Democrat Hillary Clinton's 215.
In Orange County, Florida where Horwitz is, voters predominantly voted in favour of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Horwitz says as the results pointed towards a Trump presidency, he got a lot of interest in Windsor.
"I'm starting to get emails and texts asking about properties in Windsor," says Horwitz. "I think now is a really good time to sell Windsor."
Canada's immigration and citizenship website crashed on Tuesday night and was still inaccessible in the early hours on Wednesday.
The atmosphere in the Orlando area is "full of suspense" according to Horwitz.
"There's a division," says Horwitz. "You talk to people, they're disgusted somewhat by both candidates here."
