With only 29 days left until the 99th MasterCard Memorial Cup in Windsor, the organizing committee is announcing more community events.

Two of the three community rinks will feature fan zones with interactive displays and military pieces that are free to the public and open to all ages. The last community rink with house the Molson Canadian Hockey House, which will have nightly entertainment and provide food and drink for fans over the age of 19.

Chair of the host committee, John Savage, says they want everyone in the community to get involved, not just people with tickets to the games.

"The energy that gets created in those, like the Molson House, it's great, that's a lot of fun. There's activities there, the games will be broadcast so you don't have to buy a ticket. But you go there and pick up on the energy of the tournament," says Savage.

For more family-friendly affordable entertainment the host committee announced the CHL Alumni Game on May 27 at 2pm. Tickets are only $15 and the game will feature alumni like Taylor Hall, Adam Henrique, Adam Graves and Kris Draper.
