In two days, the Town of Amherstburg went from no hotels to two hotels.
Ground is expected to break on a boutique hotel with 60 to 100 rooms next spring.
It will be on Dalhousie Street right across the road from the town's new waterfront development on the old Duffy's Tavern lands.

Amico Corporation still needs final approval from the town. It presented its plans at the waterfront environmental assessment open house last Thursday.
The plans also include two condominium buildings. That is in addition to Amico's plans to build just under 200 residential building lots on the south end of Boblo Island.
Amico said investment along the riverfront gave it the confidence to move forward with its development.
The company's total investment in Amherstburg is more than $120 million, including $105 million for the new hotel and two condo buildings.
"Amico very much likes what it sees in terms of the strategic direction that is being taken by the town," said Cindy Prince, media relations coordinator for Amico.
The announcement came just a day after Mayor, Aldo DiCarlo announced another hotel development across the road from the Libro Credit Union Centre.
Thet $20 million Quality Inn and Suites will add 60 hotel rooms in a town that just the day before had none.
Both hotels could employ up to 40 people.
DiCarlo expects it to help boost sport tourism in Amherstburg. He said the town has hosted a few events so far, but for others, the lack of accommodation can be a disqualifying factor.
