Canada's Minister of the Environment and Climate Change is selling her government's message of environmental stewardship in Windsor.
A day after new election ads hit the airwaves, Catherine McKenna visited a family home on Newport Crescent to see for herself the many renovations the owners have done to make their house more energy efficient and save money.
McKenna is in the city to explain the Trudeau government's climate change plan, carbon pollution pricing, and the Climate Action Incentive payment.
The payment allows residents in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, and Ontario to claim a benefit with your income tax return. A family of four in Ontario can claim $307.
Later this afternoon, McKenna will meet with students at the University of Windsor to answer questions about the climate plan at a town hall meeting.
