What's open and what's closed on Victoria Day

Since Victoria Day is a statutory holiday, there are several closures.

The Beer Store and the LCBO will be closed on Monday.

Government offices, including Windsor City Hall and Town Halls across Windsor-Essex will be closed.

There will be no mail delivery, or garbage pickup, or recycling pickup. In the city, residential garbage, yard waste, and recycling collection will be delayed by one day. Check your waste collection calendar for the exact day.

Night commercial, front end loader, and weekly recycling collection will not be delayed.

The public drop-off and household chemical waste depots at Central Avenue and E.C. Row will be closed and will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday. The depot accepts garbage, renovation material, furniture, recyclables, appliances, tires, shingles, and yard waste.

There will be no parking enforcement, and the municipal ticket payment office will be closed. You can still make payments online.

The 311 Call Centre will be closed on Monday. It will open Tuesday morning again at 8 a.m. The 211 Call Centre will stay open.

Community centres and customer care centres are closed, along with all indoor public pools. The Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Adventure Bay Family Water Park is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Arenas are closed, along with public libraries.

Transit Windsor will operate on a Sunday schedule Monday, but the Tunnel Bus will run on its regular weekday schedule.
