Knights trample Spitfires 7-4

Connor McMichael led the London Knights to a 7-4 victory over the Windsor Spitfires on Friday.

Egor Afanasyev and Will Cuylle scored the only goals of the first period to give Windsor a 2-0 lead heading into the second. However, Markus Phillips scored early in the second and Liam Foudy added another 12:21 into the frame to tie the game for London at 2-2. McMichael scored 13:52 into the period to give London the lead but Afanasyev tied things up again by scoring for Windsor less than one minute later.

McMichael scored his second of the night to put London back in the lead and Nathan Dunkley added another to make it 5-3 for the Knights.  Tyler Angle scored with just over six minutes left in the game to bring Windsor within one goal, but quickly Luke Evangelista retaliated for London by scoring with 5:25 left on the clock.  McMichael completed a hat-trick in the final minutes to cap off the win for London.

Despite the loss, the Spitfires outshot the Knights 41-36.
