Ahead of its annual Telethon later this month, Easter Seals in Windsor has received $273,000 from 17 agreements with different organizations in the city.
"As we secured corporate partners this year, a domino effect occurred," said Easter Seals' Development Officer, Jeremy Renaud. "we not only asked for a one-year commitment of support but for three-year ones."
A total of 14 three-year agreements were signed, and three one-year deals.
Among the corporate partners, Mike Kelly representing the Toldo Foundation, unveiled a $20,000 investment.
"The Toldo family has been committed to helping kids with physical disabilities for nearly two generations," he said.
Kelly is a long-time Easter Seals committee member.
The organization is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Easter Seals was established in Windsor on November 28, 1922. It will mark the milestone this year on November 28.
The 38th Annual Easter Seals Ontario Telethon is on Sunday, March 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be broadcast live from the Student Life Centre at St. Clair College and will feature MIX 96.7 afternoon host Matt Franklin, and BlackburnNews.com's Adelle Loiselle.
