The City of Windsor is doing it again -- giving away free hand sanitizer to the public.
Hand sanitizer will be available next Tuesday and Wednesday at three different locations across the city.
On Tuesday, August 25, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., the public can pick it up at Patterson Park in Sandwich Town. City staff will be inside a white tent in the middle of the park.
On Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., they will be at the Ford Test Track. This time, the tent will be on the south side of Milloy Street near the playground.
Then, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., hand sanitizer will be available at the Windsor International Transit Terminal at 300 Chatham St. W.
A release from the city reminded those who go to wear masks and adhere to physical distancing.
"Since the start of this crisis, the City of Windsor has partnered with our hometown distillery to make locally produced hand sanitizer available for residents seeking to stay healthy and safe," said Mayor Drew Dilkens. "Now that our region has entered Stage Three, it's more important than ever to keep up on our public health recommendations."
Nearly 2,400 bottles are available, so the limit is two bottles per person.
Hiram Walker & Sons Ltd. produced it, and is 80 per cent ethanol, suing the World Health Organization recipe. Highbury Canco in Leamington donated the containers.
The city has handed out free hand sanitizer before at the WFCU Centre.
