Health unit identifies three COVID-19 exposure points

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has named three area locations where people may have been exposed to coronavirus.

The health unit said the likelihood of contracting COVID-19 is low but is asking anyone who may have visited these locations during the day and time indicated is asked to self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days.

The first location is the Riverplace Residence on Detroit Street off Sandwich Street in Windsor. The health unit says there may have been exposure for anyone who attended meetings in the game room on November 9, 10, or 12 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The second exposure point is at Babylon Hall at Dougall Plaza in Windsor. The health unit says the exposure took place during an event on November 7 between 7 p.m. and 11:45 p.m.

The Food Basics store on Manning Road in Tecumseh is the third identified spot, with the potential exposure on Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The health unit lists places as potential exposure points once it is determined there was a risk of public exposure, and if the health unit is unable to contact everyone who may have been there at the specified day and time.

The updated list of exposure points can be found on the health unit's official website.
